Question by kaycee: What usually are the therapy or activities that are included in drug treatment programs?
My husband will undergo a drug treatment program next month and I want to know the sort of therapy or activities that are included in the program. Are there exercises included in the program? Let me know.

If I’m not mistaken, such treatment programs include lectures, group discussions, yoga, exercises, acupuncture and therapy with psychiatrists and psychologists. The patients are also give healthy meals and whirlpool baths in order to regain the good health they lost and to provide the relaxation they need.

He will probably be given a med to help with the with drawls of the drugs he is on. he will have group meeting he will have to attend. and one on one counseling.. I would imagine there would be things for them to do like read books and maybe even a craft time or something like that, they try to keep them very busy in there, so they do not think about the drugs.. but there will be many meeting and classes about the drugs and therapy and shrinks to talk to , to help him along the way on his journey… it will not be the easiest thing he has ever done, but it will be a heck of a lot easier than getting up every day and wondering where he is going to get his next fix !! They will bring him down easy.. not like you see in the movies where they tie you to the beds and let you scream !! there are meds for that !! Good luck and God bless you both..
