why is it that people have to hit rock bottom and treat the people they care about horribly and lose everything before they try to get their life straight? i mean, seriously—is the next line of coke or bowl of pot really that important?

it’s important at the time. that’s why it’s an addiction.

It is-when you’re addicted. Drugs take over your life and you do things you wouldn’t normally do. When I was on pain pills, my family didn’t matter anymore. I was totally consumed by drugs. It took me about a year of going on and off drugs to totally clean myself up. It’s sad.
