Can a Rehab Require You to Appear in Public at a Fundraising Event?

Question by Curious Bob: Can a rehab require you to appear in public at a fundraising event?
I work in a non-profit men’s drug and alcohol rehab facility in Georgia. The men are occasionally required to sing in a choir and participate in fund raising events. Does this violate any laws regarding confidentiality or right to privacy and if so what law(s) specifically.
Their refusal would mean expulsion from the program.

Crystal Leanne Wilcox, 38, is missing form the Jacksonville, GA area. She was last seen on November 4, 2012 in the rural area near Jacksonville. Family members say that Ms. Wilcox has not had her medication, and they're concerned for her safety.
