Everything Feels Unreal, Even My Past Feels Like It Was a Dream? Help?

Question by Jessica: Everything feels unreal, even my past feels like it was a dream? Help?
So nothing seems to make sense. I don’t really care about anything. I feel empty and I forget stuff all the time. I smoke pot and synthetic weed to.. I know stupid. Will I ever go back to how it was.. I was pretty much just used for s*x when I was on synthetic with a friend who i thought was close but he won’t even talk to me now. I don’t know what I did.. I just want to stop feeling miserable. Honestly, being dead feels better than how I feel right now. I’m so lost right now. Everything that has happened in my life seems to be a unreal, like I can’t tell the difference between dreams/nightmares and reality anymore.. My reality feels like I’m in a nightmare, but unreal right now. I don’t know how to explain this.. 🙁
I haven’t smoked since Thursday i felt ok that day, Friday was bad today is just horrible.. 🙁 When I smoked that night i took probably 10 hits of synthetic later on that night i took 5 hits of reg. weed. not the fake and Monday I smoked synthetic to.. Monday was the first time since sometime last year i don’t remember when i tryed it, but usually i smoke weed at least once a week.

you may be affected by the drugs or you may be affected by mental illness symptoms. if you are starting to get a disorder such as schizophrenia, you will never be sure if it is schizophrenia or the drugs causing the symptoms. the only thing you can do is stop using the drugs and then see what happens. if you continue to have mental illness symptoms, then you should see a psychiatrist.

I think that me and you have something in common… we both have the disease of ADDICTION. I know it when I see it. Using drugs almost killed me many times! Using drugs becomes more important than being a parent. Using drugs becomes more important than being responsible and working. Using drugs becomes more important than cleaning yourself. I’ve been there, done that. First, I needed education about what the hell was going on with me. I had to accept that I was risking my life every time I used drugs.

Having the disease of ADDICTION is not a shameful thing. It is like having any other disease. You have to take your medicine. If you have kidney problems, you get dialysis, right? If you have cancer, you get chemotherapy, right? If you have ADDICTION, you need to go to rehab. Oh, by the way… a person is not going to change unless they want to. You can’t make anyone change. It’s called willingness. Are you willing? If you can’t go to rehab, at least find a 12-step meeting in your neighborhood.

If you go on the internet, you can SEARCH for phone numbers to FREE COUNSELORS who can listen to you anytime of the day or night! Go to any search engine and just type in “free counseling hotline”… (I’m not allowed to tell you the numbers because it will violate the Answers Community Guidelines and/or Yahoo! Terms of Service.)
